Uli Forte is a two-time Swiss Cup winner, celebrating a cup triumph with Grasshoppers as well as with FC Zürich.
With record champions GC he finished runners-up, as he did with Bern’s Young Boys. He has been Coach of the Year in Switzerland, played twice in the Europa League with his teams and most recently coached Arminia Bielefeld in the 2. Bundesliga in 2022.
In the first part of the interview we talk about the success he had to invest the most in. And about how he rebuilt his team, FCZ, psychologically within a few days after relegation in 2016, in order to win the cup final.
He also describes what his time as a player-coach was like, and gives one decisive tip to all (amateur) coaches about what they absolutely must do in order to succeed.
